Beautiful Lake Wanaka is located in the heart of the Southern Lakes, it is the gateway to the Mount Aspiring National Park famous for its tramping, jet boating, hunting and fishing.

The mountains surrounding the lake provide a winter playground for snow lovers with four ski areas offering a variety of activities such as downhill, Nordic and cross country skiing as well as a terrain park. Heli skiing is also an option.

In summer the expansive lake with its clean blue waters lets the holiday makers enjoy swimming, boating, water skiing, kayaking and trout fishing. There are also several walking tracks, some with access for mountain bikers, all with superb views.

In autumn Wanaka is a feast of colours, with autumn leaves of red and gold everywhere! This is a favourite time for artists and photographers. This is also the time that we hold our world renowned “Festival of Colour”
